We are proposing on a 5-year contract at Camp Pendleton, CA. and seek highly experienced, qualified employees to fill these positions.

JOB FUNCTIONS: I

Overview: This position receives, records, and distributes work orders to service crews upon customers' requests for service on articles or utilities purchased from wholesale or retail establishment or utility company, records information, such as name, address, article to be repaired, or service to be rendered, prepares work order and distributes to service crew, schedules service calls and dispatches service crew. The Service Order Dispatcher calls or writes the customer to insure satisfactory performance of service, keeps record of service calls and work orders, may dispatch orders and relay messages and special instructions to mobile crews and other departments using radio or cellular telephone equipment.

Dispatches a variety of vehicles to meet specific work requirements, issues trip tickets, maintains and inputs information into computer systems, and perform related clerical support as required .Ensures all drivers are properly licensed and have required safety equipment prior to being issued a trip ticket. Handle trouble calls and takes corrective action as needed. Receives calls from drivers and/or customers on vehicle support issues and takes immediate action to correct issues. Ensures all operators have completed “before, during, and after operation” checks. Issues and/or ensures daily trip tickets are issued and that data is entered, as required, using computer and local dispatching programs. Compiles each day’s passenger count, total cargo moved, and mileage into the monthly metric report from drivers’ trip tickets. The dispatcher may be on a rotating schedule each week. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required for this position.
