N-E-I is a service business with a
history of successfully delivering projects for federal government agencies by
providing outstanding service and comprehensive turn-key solutions. We are
certified as s Small Disadvantaged (SDB), Woman-Owned (WOSB/EDWOSB), and
Minority entity, which has been in operation since 1987.
We are
proposing on a 5-year contract at Camp Pendleton, CA. and seek highly
experienced and qualified employees to fill these positions.
JOB FUNCTIONS: INFORMATION
The HVAC
Mechanic Helper may be required to handle and transport materials; use basic
tools to complete assignments; replace filters, tighten belts, replace belts as
needed, lubricate bearings, install new germicide strips, and check drains and
coils; assist in performing air conditioning, ventilation, electrical and
plumbing services for small repair projects; operate and perform operator
maintenance on light vehicles, small engine-powered equipment and hand tools as
required in area maintenance; lubricate, sharpen, clean and inspect hand and
power tools; perform any labor or other detail as deemed essential;
independently perform limited maintenance involving recurring tasks not
requiring higher level skills. This person must have knowledge and ability to use
common hand tools and select the appropriate hand and electric tools required
in accomplishing assignments; preventive maintenance procedures in lubrication
and clean up of tools and equipment; and ability to follow instructions and
perform recurring tasks. Work is performed in conjunction with a higher
graded/skilled employee who provides immediate supervision and detailed
explanation of assignments. Individual may
be required to lift and carry weights up to 100 pounds; however, the average
weight varies between 30 to 70 pounds and is carried
for only short distances. Individual may be required to perform work from
ladders and scaffolding at various heights and occasionally in hard to reach
places. Individual may be exposed to dust, fumes, solvents, grease, oils, slippery or uneven walking surfaces,
and machinery with moving parts/ objects or vehicles. Protective equipment such
as safety glasses, goggles, gloves and hard hats are furnished by the
Government as required. Individual must possess a valid California state
drivers’ license and be able to obtain a U.S. Government operator’s permit to
operate motor vehicles up to three tons. Must be certified through the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for handling refrigerant types I, II, and
III and will carry a current certification card. A minimum of 1 year of
experience in maintenance installation/repair of HVAC systems is required.
