We are proposing on a 5-year contract at Camp Pendleton, CA. and seek highly experienced, qualified employees to fill these positions. 

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: I

Overview: This person will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Duties involve one or more of the following: manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.  Performs a variety of warehousing tasks such as receiving, storing, and inventorying of supply items and materials in a warehouse environment.  Receives shipments, stocks shelves, issues materials, updates MAXIMO to ensure reorder data is valid, and prepares purchasing/usage reports as required. Selects for shipment or issue, designated stock by proceeding to area, finding stock and verifying information shown on shipping or issuing document against that on stock tags or bin tags; determines from which stock or bin items are to be removed; removes stock, assures proper quantity and nomenclature of selected stock agree with information contained on document, and moves items selected to designated locations.  Receives stock in packs or bulk; checks for completeness, identification, amount and condition, and reports any discrepancies and damage to the warehouse supervisor; places clearly identified stock in appropriate temporary or permanent storage locations according to specific oral or written instructions and established methodsIndividual warehouses bin or bulk stock according to specific locations; restacks and re-warehouses items and straightens stacks as directed; sorts out bad containers and restacks or takes to bin area; periodically checks bays or bins for mixed stock or incorrect locations; participates in taking inventory by counting items and recording count; corrects or notifies supervisor of problems; operates a forklift that is capable of lifting loads weighing less than 10,000 pounds and is as high as 168 inches to move, load or unload, transfer, transport and stack or disassemble palletized goods, boxes, crates, materials and supplies from one location to another. Must have and maintain current operator's permit. Operates a vehicle (truck) capable of carrying loads up to 1 ton with or without front axle drive, to transport articles and materials throughout the base; loads and unloads cargo and materials as necessary; ensures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity; completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records; fills out driver's accident report in case of accident; performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established regulations. Must possess and maintain both a California driver’s license and federal operator's license.  A minimum of 2 years experience is required for this position.
